All I'm saying is... "Yuck!"

SHINE.YAHOO.COM reports:
Ever feel like nothing is secret any more because of the Internet? You may be right. It took 4Chan users only 15 minutes to track down and bust the Cleveland-area Burger King employee who stood on top of two containers of shredded lettuce and then posted a picture of the gross act. 4Chan is a bulletin board-type website where members post images and comments.

Every restaurant (fast food or expensive linen cloth) has the capacity for hiring idiots who do stupid things to our food.

Now that i've seen this - Is that a joke, or is it really covered with plastic food wrap? Either way, I'm sure glad that I order my burgers with cheese and ketchup only.

Otherwise it would have been shut down by the health inspectors or critics. Or people would be complaining and the buisness would go downhill. Either way the resteraunt wouldn't be open if the food was actually unsafe for human consumption.
Leave it to one incoherent individual to put not only a negative connotation towards these places, but an everlasting label as well. :/

I'm actually in between...because you never know who is going to do something nasty to your food just because they think it's funny...but if you have a well run, clean restaurant with strict managers and employees who respect other human beings, then you should be fine. The problem? You never know!

Not all of them, but just to be sure I won't buy something with lettuce again from Burger King, or other fast food restaurant.

I actually refer to the Big Mac as "The Lettuce Mac" . . . I don't even eat them anymore. If you remove the lettuce then you won't even have anything left to eat.

OK - sad story from when I was 16. A buddy of mine and I opened a fast food place with the manager early one morning. We had one last case of Ketchup - I think one gallon to get us by until a new shipment. My buddy opened it wrong and it went all over the floor. Rich was so afraid the Manager would fire him that we scooped the Ketchup off the floor into the containers. I know - SAD - but when you are 16 you are not all that responsible, thus the reason eating fast food is a risk. I wish I had a buck for everytime I had an upset stomach or felt bad after eating fast food and everytime I think about this story.

I mean even if people weren't stepping or spitting in food, the processed trash that goes into the products is vomit worthy.

It hasn't been safe for as long as I can remember. I know a guy who worked at McDonalds a few years ago, he used to spit in burgers everytime the boss got on his nerves (and that happened a lot). I told him that's gross but he said worse things happened during his employment there. That's why I only eat out where I can see the kitchen while they prepare my meal, junk food or not.

The government oversight are the same for fast food as it is for fine dining. To tell you the truth, I've worked in both. I think I saw more people mess with people's food in the fine dining industry than I did in the fast food industry. But if you are really concerned about it, stay at home and cook for yourself.

The only thing I can see being unsafe in fast food restaurants are the idiots that do crazy things to people's food because they deem it to be "hilarious".
Fire the idiots and you won't have a problem.

There is NO telling what they do to the food back there. Really, it is never as clean as we wish and probably they spit, booger, wipe on the floor and God alone knows what else.

I used to work for Burger King. one time my Manager dropped onions on the floor, and instead of washing it or throwing it out, she threw it back into the onion bin and put it on burgers. Keep in mind that our grease traps were leaking and the floors were always dirty and were hardly washed

I wouldn't say it's any more unsafe than say, airplane food, like the sandwiches with the needles. There are a lot of sick people in this world who do this kind of thing for s**** and giggles. Why I have no idea. Then again, I was raised by competent parents, so I don't understand this type of behavior.

if it really was, then why are the doing so well? all those that said yes are hypocrites as every one of them has eaten at a fast food chain before. Why would you knowly and willing eat someplace that you deemed unsafe. DUH!

I stopped going to fast food restaurants a while ago, because an employee at Burger King ejaculated in the mayonnaise. This happened where I live, and the numbskull was fired.
