Burger King Employee Stands on Lettuce: Is Fast Food Unsafe?

You get what you pay for.

but it looks like there are covers over them so the lettuce okay, It was a joke to see how people would react.

And it has nothing to do with idiots abusing the food.

No food is 100% safe. Life is a gamble.

By watching "Food Inc," and "Supersize Me", it would indicate to me that every time we eat food that is not prepared by ourselves or don't know where it comes from,no matter what the environment,we are playing with our health and possibly our lives

In fact, this pic surfaced on 4chan and in about a day, the Anonymous movement found the people responsible for this nastiness and they where reprimanded and fired. They did it through the bar code on the box in the background.

It depends on the resturant, just as regular resturants, for cleanliness. I used to work at a Burger King and the owner/manager was a stickler for cleanliness. It was a well-run ship we were on.

The real question is...should he still be working there? (why would he stand on lettce, what does it get him...it's an aimless action) and really stupid for that matter...

The question doesn't ask whether I would ever go to fast food again, it asks if it is unsafe. A lot of things we do are unsafe. I'm sure things happen in restaurants all the time that most of us probably don't want to know about.

sometimes it can be but you have to be careful where you eat.

I worked at a Friendlys when I was a teen. The red cabbage fell on the filthy floor. They just picked it up and served it without even rinsing it off. I also know a friend of a friend, who is not my friend, who peed in the soup they served people at a fancy restaurant. People are gross and you cannot assume that the food you eat out is safe.

no more unsafe than any other restaurant --- if you want to make sure your food is safe and your lettuce isn't getting stepped on you have to cook it yourself at home...

there are plenty of restaurants our their who hire jackass immature aholes who do stuff like this.... honestly... with all the other crap that they make criminal this should be a chargeable type of offense.... all that happened was the three employees were terminated---big deal------ so they can go get another crappy minimum wage job.

I would say that this was an attempt to poison customers---because who knows what are on those shoes... floor cleaner...etc.... there have been several times where people were charged criminally for food poisoning---- they should make an example out of these punks because that owners business is going to suffer big time because of their actions.

If nothing is really safe, then how can you vote no? It's about as unsafe as anything else is.

With my past experiences with working for a few fast food businesses both employes & management from being under paid & overwork tend to get a little lax when it comes to the proper handling of food.

Unsafe meaning it will kill you? Well, no. Unless I miss the new secret sauce using arsenic as a "secret ingredient".

We all know fast food is unhealthy. Hell, bacons, eggs, and toast can also qualify as unhealthy. You're not supposed to eat it everyday.

Hey, something good came of 4chan apart from lulz. This happens all the time. It's part of why I do not eat fast food. It has too many preservatives to be called 'food'. Also such eateries do not have very high standards for cleanliness.

OMG!!! Gag me with a dog biscuit! I recall a case, from a few years back, when I was living in Western New York. Some teenagers who were working in a fast food restaurant (I think it was Burger King) on the New York State Thruway (I-90) were found found to be using hamburger buns for toilet paper and then placing them on food ordered by customers. One day they made the mistake of serving one to a New York State Trooper. End of story.

I saw it back in the 70's when I worked there for 3 weeks.{Burger King} If my life depended on it. I would never work there again.Lucky I will always have a job as a courier.

I can't imagine dirty shoes on it. That would be dumb. I worked at a burger king one time. No one did what I am seeing.
