Electric. I don't like it but it's the way the apartment is set up. I prefer a wood burning stove.

At home in Australia, with floor heating, it takes about 6 hours to warm up, the floor is nice and warm to walk on all winter and it heats the house in a nice natural way.

    One downside, it is expensive.

I have a wood stove, and I burn dead wood I collect from the forest near my home. I like doing it that way because it's a win win situation. I get a free supply of seasoned firewood, and the forest gets rid of a fire hazard.

I live in Alaska, so we love to share our weather. Kids in Fairbanks Schools are made to go outside and play at -20. So, that weather won't kill you...

. . . great difficulty. We have really old storage heaters that refuse to come on at the times we set. Last week I lit loads of candles. Now I am under a blanket on the sofa with a hot water bottle.

I live in Florida, and all we use are small electric radiator type heaters. My home is well insulated and two of them heat the whole house, one upstairs and one downstairs, as a matter of fact, we cannot turn them on high, because we get overheated.
