Who doesn't like a furry friend hanging around? LA Times:

VCU researchers divided 76 employees into three groups: those who
brought their dogs to work, those who owned dogs but left them home and
those who didn't have pets. For one week, the scientists measured levels
of the stress hormone cortisol in samples of the workers' saliva and
used surveys to gauge their stress levels four times during a workday.

was no significant difference in cortisol levels among the study
participants. But by the end of the day, the average stress level scores
fell about 11% among people who had brought their dogs to work, while
they rose as much as 70% for members of the other groups.

researchers also observed "unique dog-related communication" in the
workplace, Barker said. During the day, people who hadn't brought pets
walked over to colleagues who had and asked whether they could take the
four-legged visitors for walks.
I think this is a great idea. Now that I'm retired I rarely want to leave my two dogs. I always take them with me during the cooler months if I go grocery shopping. I know I have an unusual bond with my dogs. Both are on the small-medium size. I've ALWAYS owned dogs that were large but after I lost the last one, I decided to get small dogs. At this point in my life, I don't want to lose what I love so much every 10 - 12 years. No one can guarantee the length of the life of dogs, but in general, smaller dogs live longer.

Can you take your dog to work? Would you want to if you had a dog?

    I own a dog(s) but I can't take it to work.
Iwould love to be able to take my dog to work. I would not worry so much about them while I was away and would be much more willing to put in over time if they were there.

I'm retired but that's exactly what I would want to do.

I wouldn't be that mean to my dog. The noise is making me deaf. Just think what it would do to my dogs.

That definitley sounds like it would be unhealthy for any dog.

    Pretty hard on humans too.
