Brad Pitt is one of the leading gay-friendly movie stars in Hollywood. Apparently, his mother is not as gay-friendly as her son.

Jane Pitt, Brad's mother, wrote a letter to her hometown paper, of Springfield, Mo., saying presumed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney deserves "Christian" votes, even though he's a Mormon, because he's against abortion and shares "Christian conviction concerning homosexuality." Unlike, she wrote, President Obama, "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."

CONTENT.USATODAY.COM reports:
Brad Pitt said he didn't want to get remarried until gays could legally marry. His mom doesn't agree, according to an anti-gay letter she wrote.

They aren't for it but I am. Although if it DOES get legislated they won't mind, but they personally think its just a bit gross to see people of the same sex show affection in that way.

I'm pretty certain that my parents are anti-gay marriage but I am pro marriage equality. I wonder if they'll ever take into consideration the fact that I am gay.

My parents are cool with it. What right do we have of telling people who they can and cannot marry or love? How is two people of the same sex loving each other harming anyone? Hwo is it effecting other peoples live?

Both of my parents are long deceased. I'm pretty sure neither of them would've ever embraced (approved) of the tawdry and sinful hedonistic lifestyles of these troubled Godless and soulless creatures.

Brad Pitt's Mom sounds like a sensible lady.

I do agree with my parents on the definition of marriage.

I am glad I was able to persuade my liberal parents to come around to a sensible position.

I don't think many people my age or older have parents who accept things different than the 1950s, stereotypical "norm."

I guess I should also add that my folks are against same-sex marriage. Their views are based on Catholic ideals even though neither of them have entered a church for any reason other than marriage or death since their own wedding back in the 70s. My parents' diverge from their generation and have a very hard-nosed, unaccepting, view of the "way things ought to be." Their view is narrow-minded and judgmental, but I love my folks because they're good people despite their flaws Brad Pitt probably loves his folks for exactly the same reason.

I believe there can be a marital union like "common-law marriage" where they are able to receive benefits and marital property etc. .

What concerns me is once same sex marriage is legal they you will have churches and those that religiously or morally against it being forced to accept it.. And that is not right....it is not tolerant of someones feelings or views and yet they want tolerance for their views.
Churches can lose tax exempt status if they get put in front of a liberal judge for going against someones civil rights and once it is legal it opens that door. There is currently a case where a gay couple is suing a church because they would not allow them to have their reception in their hall....that is just wrong.

I don't understand the whole gay thing, but I understand for whatever reasons some people are attracted to the same sex. I don't understand the need to have a parade, or go out and profess your sexuality....I find that odd. However I'd find it odd if people were having a parade shouting "we're straight and we're great". It should be a personal and private thing. I have no problem with anyone holding hands, or a peck on the cheek in public, but I don't want to see anyone making out and groping one another in public gay or straight.. No one needs to share that stuff with strangers. It makes people feel like it is being shoved down their throats and that is not conducive to getting people to accept or understand.

AND "no". My parents are split on the issue. Just one of the many things they disagree/disagreed on.

While I understand the arguments for same-sex marriage, and I have friends & neighbors engaged in such relationships, I still don't support it. It doesn't mean I have some sort of outrage or hatred towards them, I just don't support this issue.

Neither of them are completely, hardcore against it but they feel it's unnatural. I honestly don't even see the point in marriage but I feel that if you love someone, you should have the right to be with them, regardless of their sex.

I know very well what my parents would think.
Who is Brad Pitt that anyone would really care about what he thinks? He's just an actor who struts and sways his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more.

didn't have to be same as Brad Pitt;'s opinion...everyone all different..well only reason why Brad agree because of visual outnumbers of gays...or he had meet his brother in law whom is full blow gay Jodie's brother..not bisexual...Brad just want to stay popular just to saying that..his mother don't agree don't blame his mother because she is different and so do I ...respect her as well...
