I'm watching this now. What I'll say, preliminarily, is that the Greeks, by their own admission -- well, by Plato's -- got their great wisdom from Egypt. In his Timaeus or Critias, he places Solon (6th Century B.C.) in Egypt, obtaining the Atlantis tale from the Egyptian priests. Iamblichus, too (3rd Century?), just off the top of my head, comes to mind instantly as having done the same as pertains to the Egyptian initiatory mysteries. Iamblichus had an entire system worked out based on Egyptian cosmology and their gods.

I am also struck, and anybody who's begun to look at it would be, too, I think, by the fact that so many Greek words are derived from Phoenician (Hebrew) words. (I know them from Hebrew because of the New Testament -- Hebrew being nothing more than a dialect of Phoenician/Canaanite language -- I'm not a Hebrew or Greek scholar, I use an interlinear and a Strong's Concordance like most lay students.) Phoenicia itself may not be African-derived, but this does bring the connection yet again more southerly than is generally supposed, and it is in this latter region, I think, from whence much of what we know of as 'Greece' was extracted.

Thanks. I'll wait and see what they may be saying here in this film about it.

I just got to where on part 2 Prof. Peter Kuniholm lambastes Egyptologists over their chronology... it's one of the best (and most focused) rants I've ever heard! You tell'm, professor! lol :)

    LOL!!!

Yes, recent science has confirmed race is an illusion. Their is no difference between you and I, with the exception of me having more melanin; oh and of course you being male LOL!!! To add on, those of ancient times thought on a nationality basis; not skin color. This nonsense didn't come into play, until the 19th century, with eugenics etc....

Many of those ideals still linger in mainstream society and it is hard for many to leave those thoughts behind. Sadly even with the increasing evidence coming out, those poisonous views are still in the minds of some people subconsciously.

I actually read The Bell Curve, back in the 90s. What I got out of it is, if you cherry pick data, you can prove anything you want... that book is a perfect example of what I stated about the sciences; right on.

Sorry Philo, I meant this book tried to refute racism that was being mainstreamed again in the 90's.

Oh, no worries. The Bell Curve by Herrnstein and Murray (1994) was actually the book that promoted racism based on intelligence. That's the one I presumed you meant *did* promote it above. There were a good number of other books, probably with similar titles around the same time, that refuted it. (I think we're on the same page then, unless I was the one who was wrong about the title, or was thinking of another one instead, lol.)
