I think I know the right answer. But what would you do?
As a season ticket holder to USC Trojan football, I've only attended 1 game this year. I missed 3 home games so far. USC plays its last game of the year at home against arch nemesis UCLA Bruins. It could make the difference in redeeming a disappointing season.
I've missed a few of my young son's AYSO soccer games due to unavoidable circumstances. I really enjoy watching him play his 20-30 minutes of semi-organized competition.
He plays his last game at the same time and makes it impossible to attend both games -- or even partial of both.

Family first. Go to AYSO. Kids grow up quickly.+2One of the things I remember from my childhood is my dad coming to my AYSO soccer games. I think you should go.

My son better appreciate it later in life!
Fight On!
besides, I'm sure WHM will fill you in on the gory details of being at the game.
cheers!
You said it,"kids grow up quickly".
Maybe I'll sell the ticket and make up the entire season's cost. StubHub!
