Florida. As long as you are not living in sink hole land or right on the coast then your in perfect position to enjoy all of Florida and remain within a 30 minute drive of the attractions (depending on traffic). We also have not had a hurricane directly hit us for about 3 hurricane seasons.
I don't live in the states but spend a year there when I was younger. I've also visited countless times and been to many states.
I've spend most my time in California, Florida and Washington, but if I had to choose a place to live in the states I'd probably pick Oregon. I only visited once, spend a month going around, but somehow the state felt the most comfortable to me, it had some certain quality that I haven't found in many places.
It's Hawaii if you ask me. If you live in the island of O'ahu, you can always visit the other island anytime you want. Plus, it was only $75 for a plane ride over to the other islands when I lived there. You can visit the entire island chain and vacation in Maui anytime you want. It's beautiful there, too, and the weather is perfect year round. :)
Florida is a well balanced climatic state that has it's season for warm, hot and cold but no snow to bother you in the winter season, florida is good for river fishing, I could go on, it's a very manageable state tho but certain you always have a job, things will be fun but only if you work hard for it
Not sure, every state is unique and good in some way. I suppose I would go with Alaska for the natural beauty, or New York since the city has everything and the state has beautiful scenery too.
