Just remember to read the labels on organic package foods, if something is in a bag or a box it has some preservatives in it. Also the type of sweetner is important too! SMH

Especially with produce, meat and fish I spend a great deal of time paying attention to smell,color, firmness, heritage, freshness and cleanliness of the store and their workers.

I try to be a cheap buyer, but through the years have noticed the difference in taste when it comes to saving a few pennies. Actually, thats what I realized with almost everything! You get what you pay for

Another thing I try to be aware of is the packaging of a product. There are some foods that I just don't buy because of all the excessive packaging. Can in box in plastic wrap= overkill.

I know that I don't represent a lot of people, but taste doesn't matter for me too much. Maybe because I don't have a good sense of smell and don't care about taste as strongly as others. Maybe because I woof my food down so quickly I forget to taste it. I often care more about texture than flavor. And, yes, for me price matters more. I look for the most appetizing, low-priced menu items when I eat out regardless if I pay or not. I won't eat awful tasting food, so maybe price/taste tie.
