Be an example and others will follow...

Folks, I am so sick and tired of people proselytizing here it isn't funny. Spewing one's particular brand of scripture to try to get another person to come to their side of the religious equation is just getting old. Debunking religion is one thing... and then there are those who try to prove their religion by using their own religious texts. Ugh!

I have had two Jehovah's Witnesses who up at my home almost ever stinking day for about two months. In introduce them to my dogs and tell them to get away from me - and they are so stupid that they continue to return. I am NOT interested.

Imo, if you live your life as you SHOULD live it, then spewing religious dogma is not only unnecessary, it is wrong. There is a particular particular poster who does this all the time - and then people with whom I am friends rave it and I get the stinking messages to check out the post. I think I probably have as many people on ignore/block than anyone here, and many are due to this religious kind of harassment. I don't tell anyone that they have to keep kosher. I do tell them they are hypocritical when they choose one law over another and, for instance, harass gay people because that is a law they choose to focus on so that they can denigrate a group of people they don't like... (That's just an example.)

I am an agnostic Jew and proud of it. I participate in certain practices for sake of my cultural history which is much, much older than many practices most her partake - and not as old as others. I have Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Buddhist, etc.. friends but not one of them would be so insulting as to promote their religious dogma to a group of varied people on a message board and it is insulting.
