Based on your life experiences, do you agree or disagree with the quote; "Nice guys always finish last"?

i know people who are just the 'nicest'......and they just win people over

Completely disagree.

The question is always "what race are we talking about?"

Unfortunately, in many cases - that is true. But not all.

Kinda depends on your definition of nice... Being a nice guy doesn't really mean you have to allow people to walk all over you. In fact, the most successful people I know are all nice, but they are also good at accomplishing their goals.

I don't think "nice guys" exist. In my experience any guy who says "Nice guys like me finish last" isn't really a nice guy. He is an average joe who thinks he deserves more than what he can realistically obtain. I'm not trying to say "good guys" don't exist because they totally do. But any guy who does good things and thinks he deserves a super model status girlfriend/wife for it is not a nice guy.
A turely nice guy doesn't finish last, he has the last laugh. A turly nice guy (should you ever be fortunate enough to meet one) acts the way he does because he knows it's only polite and not because he thinks that doing so will get him the dream girl.

It is true more often than not. I always said, "No good deed goes unpunished," because I have had many a kick from trying to do the right thing and we all know the greedy, wealthy, influencial people made sure Jesus came to a quick end.

I would like to add that it seems to be a dog eat dog world but you can blame the masses often for not paying attention and listening to people who play to their basest interest. It is why the world has had many absolutel rulers and those that try to do right are often assasinated because the rabble can be easily aroused.

We are just too nice to have the killer instinct needed to compete and win. But I guess it is just something I will have to live with.

My parents went through a divorce so I have an idea of how nasty it gets lol.

Sometimes life will make you feel that way, but in spite of, we have to keep the faith, and always forge forward.

Nice guys always finish best! It takes getting older to fully understand that!

Generally yes, nice people get run over by people who are less nice. In practical terms, what that 'means' is you either have to turn mean yourself or get tough. I prefer the latter option.

It's true.

I don't know about everyone else, but I love nice guys.

Which is why I'm no longer "nice".

I sometimes think of myself often being nice as a weakness in the field I'm getting into so I definitely don't knock you.
