I think turning over homosexual marriage in my mind is somewhat OK. But when I see pictures of Mr&Mr; or Mrs&Mrs; it's just incredibly embarrassing. Civil unions would have conferred all of the perks on same sex unions as marriage does. But that wasn't good enough for them. They want to do the brides dress, tux, wedding cake, showers, receptions............ IMO two men marrying is so faggy.

I wonder what you would say if you had been born blind? What would be your excuse then ?.

I wouldn't be seeing them, would I....but if I was blind and you told Mr & Mr were married, I think I would have the same reaction.

But, this is my opinion. I don't approve of same sex marriage and apparently you do. You're talking like you don't approve of people having a opinion different from yours. If you like chocolate ice cream, am I supposed to like it too?

Well I'm sorry, but two men 'marrying' and having sex in the anus is an anomaly.

No Louisa, that is not what she is saying at all. You can dislike it, but dehumanising these people is not right. Why should you be the only one to be equal under the law and others not? Why should you, as a herterosexual be the only one to have rights under the anti-discrimination law, and not gays and lesbians?

    Anomaly?

During the day or two that California permitted marraiges, before the Moral Majority , who have no part in the marraige, stepped in and called it off, I was blessed to marry six couples. And isn't everyone entitled to the whole schmear? The flowers, the refreshments, the hugs, the kisses, the joy? If it's not involving you, it's not your place to say " It's embarassing to look at". God knew these persons were gay when they were borne. We're not hiding anything from Him.
Believe me when I say that in thirty or so years from now, you'll call that an incorrect reaction. There was a time in my life that I felt like you. But I grew up, and realized that I wasn't God, and thereby, I had no right to judge. Just let time pass, and this too, will pass from memory...." And I'm not criticizing you, You too are a child of God. One day your feelings will come around.

Louisa, I am surprised at you. I thought you were better than that. Obviously not. And whilst we have anti-discrimination laws, every one must be equal under them, or there is no point having them. They are entitled to the same rights as you.

I said nothing profain in the message that I left, so I'll reword it, You have a talking t*rd, saying "at least there won't be any offspring from this union. Well, we all know that sometimes kids can lovingly be little s**ts. So I said that the house can still be full of them, because in the states where gays can marry, they can also adopt! A whole house full of scampering kids. And this message is not a response to zambo, it was in response to the flinger of T**DS

This was deleted 2 times, why? There is no profanity in it?

Well, that reminds me that there is an issue here in Portugal. Gays, Lesbians and Bi's can marry, but they can't adopt (except single people). What the?

Being a kid of the 60's and 70's and being taught about the Fall of the Roman Empire, no one then would have even entertained the idea that our country would some day succomb to the same depravity and moral decay. It would have been considered inconceivable and unpatritotic to even suggest it.

The "depravity and moral decay" of two people making a public commitment to remain in a lifelong, loving relationship with one another? I had no idea people found marriage so "unpatriotic".

How do you know since we aren't talking about male bonding? We're talking about a loving couple choosing to marry.
