Bad news mixed with Good news... Darn

Anthony Souls 2012/08/21 19:46:04
Well, there was bad news and good news... Good news was that we are accepted into the transitional housing, so it's just a matter of time til we get in, hopefully this week. Bad news is the devil is really working in our lives and creating problems for us to overcome through God/Jesus. How so? Well after finding out that God was helping us with the transitional housing and we were leaving the horrible and evil shelter, all of these bad situations started cropping up. One, we were walking home last night from getting some food and someone yelled out "Fuck you homeless" even though I don't know how they knew we were homeless... The guy went out of his way to yell it in an intersection while turning at a light in a red truck. Then, we were cross a road and for no reason at all but the sheer madness of the world, a guy at a light starts taking Jesus' name in vain and yelling out like he was insane. And on top of that, a guy seemed to drive by and give up peace signs, which may or may not be condescending... Who really knows in such a crazy city. Well, that wasn't the end of it, this morning our 72 year old friend at the shelter started going on and cussing and acting not like himself about how he hates the shelter and everyone there is rude. Please pray for him :) I don't think he will last there much longer, keeps talking about how he will take his greyhound bus to another city which has no shelter... Then on top of that, we had to meet with the head woman of the shelter: she said we need to respect her time yet she doesn't respect hers. She made us wait for hours to meet with her for a few minutes after she had what seemed to be a pow wow with the staff and just normal conversations that could of waited until after the meetings. Sigh. She goes on about how we need to do all of these hours at the store. Oh yea, my fiancee is sick today and has been throwing up all day and she can't give us medicines but tells someone to give her Advil right in front of my fiancee... How rude can a person be? Especially, one that is suppose to help her. My fiancee might think it's the bleach she cleans with, than the director goes on to tell her that there are many chores that doesn't require bleach: she is insane, there is only dusting and sweeping, everything else is bleached or pine soled. Well, she complains about us not getting in all the hours at the store even though we do more hard work and productive work than everyone else just eating and gossiping there. It's ridiculous. Well, by the end of the meeting, she just says to get the hours at the store. Well, we aren't going to do any hours at the store and hopefully just get into transitional housing before we get kicked out. It's not worth hurting our health when they don't even help you or listening to fake pastors corrupt you, or to be treated as homeless slave labor. It's insane. So, obviously, the devil's handiwork is at work here. He always does this when God helps us. sigh. Tries to ruin it when it's not going to happen.

In any event, seems like everyone there just got out of prison and has cars. Or they were in prison in the past. Seems most of the homeless are criminals which might show why some gets hurt on the streets. For example, a lady came in today with bruises on her face and she was in the hospital for two days and how they threatened her at the hospital not to talk or they would kill her but she didn't even care to tell the police anything anyways. They planted some things on her. The Shelters are like prisons that you leave in the day time or something. Hopefully not all shelters are like this.

A staff member's daughter is already on probation at 11 for breaking and entering a school. And she thought it was cool, and it was just sad. She's already on the wrong path in life. So, obviously, that shelter isn't producing good fruits at all.

Oh yea, the shelter director went on about how there is no food or drinks in the dorms and that if she catches someone, she will charge them a hefty pest control bill. She directed it at me and then said that it wasn't personal or towards me. She is absurd. I asked if you can keep food in the dorms and store it without eating it, and all the staff said yes. Now, she says no, not unless it's unopened. They just selectively enact their rules and disregard them as they choose.

What else, unless you are mentality disabled, you can't really get on any good problems but the one we are applying for. The shelter is horrible and unGodly, so a lot of people suffer mental problems from living on the streets, or they simply fake a condition, it seems, just to get help. Or they just exaggerate their conditions. It's sad that you have to be mentally ill before you can get help. Just sickening.

What else, what else... If we didn't get into the transitional housing, we would probably rather live on the streets than reside there. More than 2 weeks and you aren't welcomed any more and are a slave labor force for them. Just not right when you claim to be for God. What you do unto others you do unto Christ, so they are doing all of this to Jesus who they claim to love...

Well, that's it for now. Take care, Oh yea, the job didn't call my fiancee back still... We are thinking that once we are in the other housing that we might get a call..

Take care,

You!
