Celebrities are going a little crazy with the buzz cuts recently -- and no, we're not talking about guys. Avril Lavigne debuted her new half-shaved hairstyle on Saturday, People reports, following in the footsteps of Rihanna and Willow Smith.

And last week, Charlize Theron was photographed walking into a salon, and hasn’t been seen without a hat since, People reports. Why? She shaved off her long blonde hair for her role as Furiosa in the upcoming movie "Mad Max: Fury Road," her rep tells the mag. While it's hard to compare half-shaved to fully shorn, we're wondering: Who pulled off the shaved look better, Avril Lavigne or Charlize Theron?

I don't know why Avril Lavinge decided that this look was for her. To be honest it looks rather trashy and afwul. Avril definatley needs her hair because it frames her face nicely and her hair is what makes her look feminine. This shaved look makes her look a bit butch and that isn't atractive. Charlize is a very pretty woman and for her to have her head is a bit extreme....

Avril Lavigne didn't shave her head; she shaved only part of it and looks like a crack whore. Charlize looks like crap too but it not the hair; its the hat and the glasses that make her look like a fool.

Avril, it seems, is more about the "rock" appearance vs. actually being a "rock" chick..
Terrible hairstyle to be "cool" vs terrible hairstyle for a movie roll?
And Charlize is at least wearing a hat, knowingly covering her bad hair cut..
She doesn't need hair to be pretty and Avril is just for show.

Avril needs her hair. Plus, I hate that hairstyle. So ugly. Charlize isn't much better, but at least she looks clean with all of her head shaven. The hat was the lifesaver.

Point: Ladies, PLEASE don't do this with your hair. PLEASEEEEEE.
