Seems consistent with their rather different sense of humor.

Makes sense in OZ, but here it might be interpreted a a chicken and not a cock bird thus encouraging more reckless driving.

Don't drive like a CHICKEN?!? That's not offensive, but not particularly practical either!

I think it's funny. Maybe you have to be or drive like one to take offense to that sign.

Too many idiots on the road and many need to get their attention grabbed.

Road accidents are becoming increasingly worse here in Australia and these signs are just another way of getting the drive safely message across. They've tried the ''hit 'em hard' approach and nobody seemed to take any notice maybe the use of humour might work, I can see nothing wrong with them, I just hope it works.

Good grief -- who on earth would be "offended" by this sign?

Chickens? They can't even freaking READ!

Ahem...the point is that they're using pictures instead of calling people rude names. There's "don't drive like a cock/wanker/knob". If you're familiar with Australian slang, these are all insults.

Can't think of anyone that would be offended, except maybe the one's that are as depicted in the signs, think?

i think that they will get people's attention, which is the point, no?

OTOH, i think that the billboard with the bowl of Vietnamese soup could be a bit obscure ... though maybe Aussie Blokes and Sheilas will know that it is pho ...
