On our site, we definitely see lots of beautiful parties for babies and toddlers, however, we still see amazingly creative parties for teens. The main difference is the guests are all kids, and the themes are driven by what the birthday boy or girl wants. For example, take a look at these fantastic teen birthdays on our site and see how fun but mature they feel..

You throw your kids parties until either their friends throw them or they throw their own

around age 12. It seems that after that age they thinks things are uncool.

Once in Junior High, puberty usually changes their focus to many other activities begin to take their attentions from balloons, clowns, etc. Some milestones do rate special attention.

I've never had a huge party(I've been to a few though). I only invite my close friends and family members. I once had a party with 8 kids when I was little. My coworkers sometimes throw large parties- it depends on the person's personality. I prefer small parties because they're more interesting.

Parties? Whatever, I'm all about the cake. I've had a homemade cake from my mother almost every year of my life. She is awesome!

It depends on the age and the kind of party. For the younger kids the generic child party with a clown and a bouncy house. For older teens the kind of party when everyone that is known is invited and there's booze.

My family had birthday celebrations up to about 12 or 13. My husband's family never stopped until the loved one died and sometimes not even then.

Though I don't really have parties anymore. For my sixteenth birthday I just went out bowling with two friends the day before, and dinner with my parents and brother the day after.

Among my son and his friends, by 8th grade they were done with decorating, themes, etc. He takes his friends to play paintball, they have pizza, and the friends give him gift cards (no wrapping, just stuck in his hand), he says 'thanks, dude' and they head back to the paintball field.

I always suspected the fancy parties were more for the moms, anyway.

We stopped at 21. Since then, we just have family dinners. Our "blow out" parties, though, probably did/do not equate to most.
