I think it's awesome when a chick is in a metal band because it makes them look so intense and whatnot. I myself have been playing the bass for about three years and I could imagine what it would be like to be in a hardcore kinda band

It depends on the woman, not on the instrument ;)

I used to sing in a band and at our very last gig this girl came up to me and asked for my number for her friend who apparantly found me very attractive x) I thought it was hilarious cause I felt like I had groupies or something :p We even ended up dating for a while and now she is one of my best friends :) So being in a band is pretty awesome ^^
This is my favorite band: every single one of them is frickin sexy ;p

I'm a woman and I play guitar. I don't know if anyone finds it sexy though! I just enjoy it and really don't care how it is perceived by anyone. I do it for me.

Singing, a little bit.

But otherwise, no, I don't find it sexy, although I do like to watch Karen Carpenter (rip) play the drums. Her singing is waaaaaaaay better, though. Ah, I *do* miss her.

Funny you say that. I play bass guitar and I auditioned for a band, they said I was good but they didn't want a girl in their band. I suppose people have different opinions.

Their loss! My brother (guitar player) and I (bass) used to jam - he called me "cable thumper." Keep on cable-thumping - you'll find a band that'll want you.
