Married for eight years, separated when I was four... Divorce settlement I'm not exactly sure when it went through, a year or so afterward. He didn't escape completely unscathed, but at least he got out.

My parents never married. I mean they were in love, and they were planning on it...my father even proposed (mom said yes) but my father left my mom before they started planning the wedding for another woman. I still love them both though.

My husband and I have parents that are still together, yet he and I have been duvorced once before. I read a study that said non-divorced parents are more likely to have divorced children. Strange huh?!

Well, they're not married to begin with. But everyone in my family who's been married have gotten a divorce so I don't see them not being married as a bad thing.

Haha...they were never married...well my dad was... technically im an illegitimate child...yeah....i guess this is were the sins of father would come into play....children dont ask to be born we just are, we didnt ask to be involved with their problems and mistakes but none the less we have no choice..

But they should be. Would have saved their youngest child (me) a lot of traumatizing flashbacks because she was too young to drown it out with alcohol (way to be a good brother, spence. Leave your one and only [living] sibling hanging so you can go get drunk and high with your buds). Which, referring now to alcohol and drugs, was the cause of the parents issues. Do you know how scary it is to be eight years old and watch your father almost bleed to death because mommy drank too much tequila and threw an ashtray at him? I do.

I don't know if you would consider my parents never being married "divorced", but I do. They never see or speak to each other; in fact, I've never even seen my father, or heard my father's voice.
