had a droid, it sucked, i got the 3gs now and it better then most newer droids i see. id love to at least see a glimpse of the 5. i heard that youtube vid was a hoax, it does look a little far fetched......
Apple has perfected the "keeping the customer dissatisfied" mentality. They don't make it as good as they could, with enough bugs and problems that when the new one comes out, you'll rush for it, but not enough so that you'll just ditch it right off. They come out with new models so frequently that people already know that they won't have to "suffer through" this model for too long before they can upgrade...to another product that is intentionally not the best they can make. Just so the cycle starts over again. It's a great way for them to make money: "Good enough" products.
No. I'm waiting on the pay phone booth to make a comeback. Actually I'm amazed at the legions that line up for Apple's well planned never ending revenue cycle. The best piece of marketing in the history of our country. I give them credit for that.
Not at all. Apple products WORK, and they LAST. EVERY person I've talked to who has owned a Droid phone has had to replace them within a year. Bad battery life, bad memory usage, phone just acts like crap, on and on and on I can go. Contrary to that, I've had 3 iPhones since '08. One got ripped off, was replaced in '09. That one was replaced in '11 just because the 4S came out (with more storage), and is STILL functioning, very well in the quite abusive hands of my 5 year old niece. My first (and only) iPod? 7 years that thing lasted, till the drive finally went to crap. People PAY more for Apple products because they LAST longer.
Apple is definitely not my friend. Personally, I don't like paying for a name and it's, later, planned obsolescence. I don't like planned obsolescence mostly because I expect something to last me 5 or 6 years, but some people aren't as stubborn as me.
Good point. The 4 is the best phone I have ever had. I have had smartphone's for over 10 years and this is definitely the best. I wouldn't worry too much about it not working properly. So a 5 for me will be more out of want than need.
That is a very valid question, just like what was wrong with the 3 that had to be upgraded. The major (known) difference right now will be memory. The 4 (not s) is limited to 32 gig. The 4S has 64 gig capability.
If rumors are correct, the phone size will be a pretty big thing. Not sure about that, we'll know more on Wednesday though.
The iPhone is built to last, so it's not a "need" to upgrade, it's more of something that new features may actually come in that adapts better to the client.
don't get me wrong technology can be a great a wonderfull thing and true it has its place more or less at least 50 to 60 % of our day to day lives; but i am in the thinking the mind is a far better tool, sometimes technology can be a deffenite short-cut to thinking, has man became lazy and slobbish over the past several decades? in some aspects yes i do think this, i am by far the smartest person yet nor the dumbest but i feel we are becomming far too dependent upon virtual rather than the true essence of mind and brain matter, we all got on as good without mobile phones in the past
Ask me if you want to know Thailand
Amazing Thailand
Android all the way.

What's wrong with the iPhone 4 that you know you'll be replacing it with a putative improvement?
I know Apple products are gorgeous and instant design classics but it must be a worry if they don't work properly!
I hope you enjoy it when you get it and it's not too soon before iPhone 6 is announced!
