Having said that, however, if my community was in the middle of the storm, I would appreciate the information. It could save a life! Then, it would all be worth it!

No, they're showing how real the weather is in that area. So people can't really just blow it off and be like, "Oh, It's not all that bad", or whatnot, and ignore it :P

Nope, they report to a much larger area than just the area that they're in bro :P For example: I'm not in Florida to see the hurricanes hit and what not :o They report it to me, the viewer, several thousand miles away, on a storm that will probably affect me in the near future o.O

It is not news. We have had storms for millions of years and will continue to have storms for millions of more years. The LWNJ TV reporters act like they don't know that.

It was probably clever and fun to watch the first 20 times, but it's old hat to see the nut standing outside in the pouring rain telling us it's storming outside.

That also goes for Diane Sawyer ABC News, Who opened her show with a statement that came close to saying that Florida was going to be a disaster area.
The storm was just a tropical depression. The local news came on and said it would move to the west and wouldn't directly hit the west coast of Florida; they were right, thank god we didn't listen to Diane.

    Let's just say that I've got a sign ..
that I put up with each storm ..
"Jim Cantore" .. go find another hotel somewhere else ..
(.. do NOT Want to see the crew from Weather Channel setting up their cameras .. it is a sign of a truly awful storm .. )

(We .. who live in the Hurricane Zones are not stupid .. we hunker down and don't go out in the driving winds/rains .. )

they are getting blown away while telling everyone they should evacuate, or they are 'standing' there telling everyone to stay inside as cars blow past.
