No, it's not endless wars, recession, and reality TV that's got you down. It's technology. Specifically, the amount of technology in our lives. It turns out we too much technology and it's bumming us out.

"Citing recent reports that levels of anxiety, insomnia and stress are on
the rise among workers worldwide, Dr. Orloff said in a recent interview
that she believes we can attribute many of these troubles to
technology."

So, if techno-despair has you down, don't be afraid to pull out the Betamax and the abacus. A little Old World charm is teh best thing for techno-despair.

I've never been a big fan of technology, partly because it sucks me in for hours at a time that I could spend actually living my life.

That sounds like a load of crap. Are not all tools a kind of technology? Or is this arbitrarily saying anything that runs on electricity is bumming people out? Yep. Dumb.
