The price of everything is through the roof in the past 4 years, and I am sick of consumerism.

I've been unemployed for a year and a half almost. Can't afford to spend money. Christmas isn't about spending money anyhow, however, that's not the song retailers sing to good old john/jane q. public morning noon and night with the endless tv commercials starting about two weeks before Halloween!

Honestly, the trend I've been seeing in retail is people spending more. We'll see how much of that gets returned today though, hah!

It basically depends on the money I have at the time - I get my money from a disability pension every fortnight and try to give whatever I can to others.

I've spent more that 100 dollars this year. In previous years, I've only spent about 50 or less. I went all out this year!

My parents told me to pick out what I wanted and I bought a pair of Clark's desert boots that cost only USD 120. Besides food that's the only thing I got.

I spent more because my parents are hard pressed for money, so I tried to counteract their depression about money by trying to make Christmas as fun and festive as always for them. I got lucky in that I actually got a little extra money from work than normal this year.

I am sure that considering time, effort, designing, cutting and buying material and the rest of the
things I needed, I spent lots more than last year, LOL. I bought a few gift cards and I made a lot of the gifts for my family and friends.

Less, with the idiots out voting and putting Obama back in charge for another four yearsI dont think the the economy is going to get any better, as a matter of fact I know that following the basic laws of economics, of supply and demand and knowing that government only creates a bloated bureauacracy and doesnt not creat any private sector jobs we are gonna be screwed. Thanks to the blind and ignorant
