Sending out holiday cards is a great way to show the people in your life you're thinking of them. But then again, it does flood your mailbox with photos of people you haven't seen in a while. And then, there's always the chance of your card looking a little like this...

i am actually trying to use up all the paper cards i ever bought... and sending them out this year.
i used to stock up and keep a spreadsheet of who got what card so i wouldn't repeat who got what one... then a few years ago i stopped buying them and decided that i wouldn't buy anymore until i used up what i had already.

i've addressed most of them... and applied stickers and stamps to make them festive and will be mailing them out friday.

No cards this year. Next year I'll get back ithe X-mas sprit using technology. Text pictures to picture friendly phones, text non pic phones, and Email cards. This I find a less expensive alternative to Snail Mail. Also I'll use Snail Mail for the people that do not use high tech services.

I used to buy at least one of those boxes of Holiday Greetings cards every single winter..and they would just end up sitting there. I'd either forget about doing them until it was too late to bother, or I'd lose them, or I'd forget about them all together. So the past four years, I have had to resist the urge to buy a box, and just tell myself that its a complete waste of money. I'm hoping by next winter I'll have managed to get my ADHD into some sort of semblance of control...so maybe I'll try and give the whole Christmas Cards thing another go next year.

I like a traditional card, but it is getting expensive to send to all the old friends. Maybe the ones too far away will get a text or phone call. I told my sis I would ring Xmas day.She says she won't answer,as it's the first Xmas her and hubby have had without all her 5 kids and partners and Gran kids. So she is keeping hold of the remote control for the first time ever.
