Are you preparing for the hurricane?

I can imagine this is a big topic right now. I live in central Louisiana and were already getting a lot of wind here :/
It seems like every gas station is out of gas, and prices have gone up at least $.15 since yesterday...
And on top of that, Walmart, and other stores, are out of things like bread, canned goods, and bottled water..
On the bright side, I won't have to drive to school 2moro in bad weather, seems like well be out for probably the rest of the week.

We DID prepare. We filled up gas cans, bought extra bottled water, put together an emergency kit...and then Isaac changed course. :-D Which is great...being without power for a couple of days stinks....cause everyone is hot, sweaty, and STINKY!

What are your religious views? I can't tell since you chose not to disclose that information on your profile. Atheism? Blame science. Islam? Blame Allah.

Well I said that because he said to blame God so what I was getting at is what his religious views were and if he wanted to blame God, is he also going to blame whoever or whatever he believes in?

I suppose one could classify my as an 'atheist' inasmuch as I don't subscribe to the concept of (any) god ... my remark reflects (in my view) the ironic stupidity of "god will help" since, supposedly, this omnipotent, all-seeing, all-knowing, controlling/directing every action and event is the very entity that 'caused' this hurricane and its attendant misery as well as other disasters.
  • Catgirl ghostrider 2012/09/03 05:28:40

Why must you people argue over religion on a question that had nothing to do with religion? I swear, some of you people, like yourself, just don't know when to stop the stupidity. Don't even try to argue with a Christian if you yourself don't even seem to know a drop of what we believe in. You're making yourself look very foolish. If i were you, i would at least brush up on the basics of the things i don't believe in, to avoid this again.

... because it was said, "but god help you" ... so, I'm simply stating my 'take' on the subject ... if you don't see it that way, it's OK by me ... and frankly, I truly don't care what or how you, or any religious individual, believes ... all that's entirely up to the 'believer'.

Alright, but the thing is, that was said to me, not you. So maybe, instead of expressing yourself poorly whenever you feel the need to do so, learn some manners and stop butting into other peoples conversations.
And before you tell me that i was butting into YOUR conversation with this person, know that this is MY question and anything that goes on in it is my business.
And as an answer to your first comment, as a Christian, i can still tell you that a natural disaster is the cause of science, not an angry God.

You appear to have your comments mixed up a bit ... my initial comment to all this was a comment on Swan Eshdeh's general comment to this question (look back on the sequence) ... the rest just followed others' comments, including yours ... as for your final statement, I find it interesting (always), that 'good' things are attributed to god while 'bad' things are blamed/attributed to everything but ... yet isn't the Judea-Christian as well as Muslim teachings/beliefs that "everything" is directed by this 'god'? ... and, if this supposedly existing omnipotent god has his fingers in everything, why does he/she allow such disasters? ... a bit hypocritical, don't you think? ... but then, 'god' really is a figment of man's imagination, as it always has been throughout history.
