The Affordable Care Act addresses that problem from many different angles. In my view, there is absolutely zero value in insurance companies and advertizing agencies when it comes to providing direct patient care and ground breaking medical research. The Affordable Care Act curtails some of that superfluous adminstration in healthcare organizations. This will put us in a more competitive position in the global economy. I'm with the late Senator Edward Kennedy (D) MA and believe that access to medical care and treatment is a basic civil right.
