It is my believe that the only way the world will view homosexuality different is if the world came out and showed how it is normal.

Are you out? If you are straight, are you supporting coming out?

The more visible we are, in all of our diversity, the more difficult is will be for cruel and smallminded views to be taken seriously. We must be out for the sake of young gay people who still sometimes suffer terribly--homelessness and even death--from ignorance and the tyranny of twisted religon.

It would be nice if people were just kind. If they want to be against something, be against cruelty to people and to animals. That's the productive kind of "anti" sentiments. I like gay people, and find that they are generally kinder people, percentage-wise, than "traditional" folks.

This brought back some memories. When I first told my dad I was bi-sexual, his only reaction was "ok, want a hamburger". I was lucky to have a supportive parent, and many supportive friends. I will also support anyone, regardless of sexuality, religion, race etc. People need to learn to love.
