When I was younger I would alphabetize my movies, and music. My clothes would be hung from the longest to the shortest. I couldn't watch someone fold my clothes without yanking it out of their hands and doing it myself and if they did fold say a basket full of clothes, I would refold each one to the way I liked it done. The toilet paper has to go on a certain way (sheets facing outward not inward). I use to have to color coordinate my socks, shirt & bra.
Happy to say I let all of these go, except the toilet paper. The hardest one to let go of was the laundry not being folded properly, or to my liking rather. I still have a hint of it here & there but nothing like before....thankfully!
For anyone who doesn't know OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I was never diagnosed with it, just that I had OCD tendencies.

+1My mom was real bad about checking the knobs on the stove to make absolutely sure they were off, but she'd go back and recheck them, several times before she went to bed. I never worried about that, until she passed away, now I find myself doing it. Like wth Mom, seriously? :-)reply

And from a recent experience, I forgot my shades at home on a cloudy day then the sun came out! So I take them everywhere now anytime even at night, even if I don't need them I will take them but I will only wear them when the sun is out, any other time they are on my head or something and I'm not wearing themreply

+1Ok, gotcha. Did you ever watch that show, something or other about weird habits, can never remember the name of it..... Anyway there was a guy on there who had to wear sunglasses all the time. In the house, outdoors, night & day. His was a different reason though. He felt like he was hideous...it was sad really. Thankfully that is not your reasoning :-)reply
