Taught in first grade you must be right handed or else. so I write with both hands, actually print left best (engineer) cursive best w/right, eat with left, do all fine or close work w/left, work power and hand tools w/both mostly left, Throw right, tennis left, bat both ways fairly well, some things I am much better with one hand over the other it depends on the task and if my left handed dad or right handed mom taught me to do the task.

My wife is mostly the same, I didn't believe she was a lefty at first, I thought my little brother set me up as he arranged our first date. Took a few dates to decide she was truly a lefty. It works well for us.

Many moons ago in Catholic school the nuns in the 1st & 2nd grade would smack us lefties with their bullet pointer sticks and try to make us use our right hands. Now I'm ambidextrous.

Hey, takes a lot of brain translation to do stuf in a right-handed world. My stepparents couldn't cope with me being lefty-no matter how many times the milk got spilled for being on the wrong side of my place setting or how many times the left hand faucets went--just this year diabetic step person would rather go into a coma than let me do blood glucose check or give insulin shot with left hand-after 9 months of doing it like that, he just realized and went nutz....well, I say... can't handle having the truth hit you?

I was born and started coloring and writing left-handed. My dad is left- handed and my mom was right-handed. My school forced me to write right-handed and now I am predominantly right handed but am actually ambidextrous. I steer my car mostly left handed (depending on my mood), write right-handed (except for when I had surgery on my right arm and had to write with the left hand), bat left-handed, play tennis right-handed, can throw a softball, frisbee or football with either hand.
