No more so than for what Thor, Apollo, Amon Ra and all the other 3,000 some Gods the priestly set has concocted to extort money from their flock have done for me. Actually, I am more than a bit pissed at all the evil human converts to them have done in their names.

I don't believe in any god or gods, but I am grateful that others fear of their imaginary friend's wrath, keeps them on the straight and narrow...sorta.

I think you should have displayed more answers, Our Hindu, Islamic, Jewish etc friends might have the selection slightly odd...

Other than that i'm an atheist and thus tihnk everything I have achieved thus far is thanks to me and those who helped me. Not some mystical being silently guiding me, which, might I add somewhat destroys the idea of free will.

That may be right for the Jews and Muslims, but it does state "the Christian God", not "god" in general

But which do they pick, because they don't believe in said god but they are most likely grateful to their god...

True, but I still stand by my choice. They could pick the choice of not believing in the Christian God, and then state in they're comment their grateful god. But I do see your point.

Not always, as there are many things which I probably misunderstood. In certain cases, losses left negative consequences. I am still not convinced that learning the hard way brings positive results.

I am grateful for the good AND the bad.. to live with both is better than living just in the good, or just in the bad. God gives us choices... the difficult part is shutting up long enough to listen.. r e a l l y listen...

However, if I were to attribute everything that I have no control over to God's actions, God has:

    Thrown my brother in prison
Prevented me and my immediate family from getting any local jobs
Turned my best friends against me
Gotten me a decent but horrible paying job
Killed half of my extended family
And made the other half into Christians

Good thing I don't believe in the guy or he'd have some explaining to do.

Child you are looking at the wrong critter to Blame. Satan is a master at deception ,,,, He loves to keep would bes heading toward Heaven as Hell bound lost souls because they blame the wrong critter

Who's blaming? I don't believe in God. I said IF I were to attribute everything I had not control over.

    God and Satan don't exist.

Besides, if God wanted to help his children, he'd do it directly, on Earth, not after death. A 2,000 year old book written by several men who simply want to one-up each other is not how you help people.

How about this. God is all knowing and all powerful? So obviously god doesn't care because he is allowing all these evils to happen and not doing anything about it

Lets see, Christians say Muslims can't go to THEIR heaven, after all, they've only been born once, Catholics must be blocked from going where the Baptists go, Muslims wont accept "Infidels" wherever THEY are going, Jews killed Jesus, so they have to find their own place..(FAR away from the Muslim virgins!). they all sound like HELL to me!

Someone said "Heaven for the weather, Hell for the conversation" (or something like that). Apparently, a bunch of non Christian, non-Muslim, non Jewish folks named Tom Jefferson, Jim Madison, Al Einstein, Sam Clemens, a couple of guys named Voltaire and Gandhi, as well as millions of others of intellect, have found some place where they are "accepted". I hope they accept me....I wouldn't want to spend eternity listening to the likes of Frank Graham, Pat Robertson, Michelle Bachmann, Pope...whatever.

Hey guys, I can't measure up to most of you "unbelievers", but if you could make room....I think I'd rather join YOU.

no human can go into heaven without having believed and trusted God Almighty and come to him through the Blood, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is that He died in my place. I deserved all those things done to him to have been done to me for my inherited sin of all the previous ages of Mankind. Muslims have their book and it tells them to kill and to rule by force of arms. Christians were not told to do this although they have chosen to do so anyway.
If you wre a Christian and died and were in Heaven, You'd not be listening to people like you mentioned. In Heaven they would be unnecessary.
Sad part is that Muslims will not be in Heaven, they will not have believed and trusted Jesus as their Savior. Every one on Earth who made that choice of not taking Jesus offer of Salvation will be there in Hell with Satan and all of his Minions burning the Eternities away. until at some point God destroys all of Hell and those in it.

As long as that is believed, we will never have PEACE, because the believers in all faiths will forever fight to prove THEY are right, and no one else is.

My moronic sister-in-law once told me that God found her parking spots near the front door at Wal-mart! Years later, when she developed a brain tumor, I concluded that God must have gotten tired of finding parking places for her and gave her the tumor so that she could get handicapped plates.”

    Isnt God Great!!!

This question is putting the cart before the horse.
I still don’t know what one of those is, let alone convinced that whatever this might be, has done anything for me.
I think before we can decide, we need to know what it is, exactly, we are talking about here.

For example if we were to find out the God is a series of random quantum fluctuations
being manipulated by scientists in the 13th dimension ... then we can ask questions.
1 Is God capable of creating a universe? – Yes Maybe
2 It God capable of interacting with carbon-based life forms spinning around a ball of burning gas? No.

We need to know what it is 1st , not assign he/it credit 1st . This question is impossible to answer until we know the precise nature of the subject.

I really don't believe him but I'm not an ungrateful person. I mean, all I know is that my mom and dad having sex brought me to the world and I have similar features to them, but that doesn't mean god had something to do with it, it was just sex, my parents have done things for me NOT god,
