90% of so-called secrets are spilled by accident. It is a fact of life. Family secrets are the most likely to be kept for the longest. Over 70% of secrets are revealed within 6 weeks to two years of the original event that spawned the secret. You are correct in saying that it is all going to be layed out there, open book, sooner or later. I tell people "I don't want to know about it." By the end of the day, I've found out about it from at least one other person, by the end of the week it's old news.
I tend to be very open and honest. I have no secrets. I sometimes fail to recognize that others keep things secret. To my credit, I am also not very gossipy. So, if you tell me a secret, I am not going to share it with others in an attempt to entertain them.
93% of the women in this poll affirmed they were good at keeping secrets. I am having a little problem with those numbers ladies. We're not talking about keeping the secret for a couple of hours! I think that many (not all) of you would like to think that you are better at keeping secrets than you actually are. In my experiences that number would be significantly lower. The guys are at 88%. That number also seems a little high. Anything you want to get off your chest guys??
I love being the one to confide to, cuz trusting someone with a deep secret really is an honor. I don't think it's anyones business if it was a private convo meant only between us. I hate catty loud mouths. It really isn't hard.
You are not just like an ass. You are an ass.
