    Always stay in, too many drunks on the road, and things are too expensive and crowded with waiting...is there a "name" for a new years eve Scrooge?

    Our beer is colder, stronger & cheaper than any public venue.
    Our scotch is tastier, undilluted & cheaper than any venue.
    Our food is healthier, tastier & cheaper than any place else.
    Our company is more civil, more agreeable, much prettier than any public venue.
    'Going out' is absolutely useless.
    There are no traffic fatalities in our kitchen.
    This 43rd Happy New Year with the bride is fine without interferrence from drunks & pitiful poor staff at any other venue in Australia.

    My boyfriend (who happened to ask me out last new years), and my best friend's boyfriend both work. So me and her are going to drink, watch movies, and go sledding. Maybe if were wasted enough hit up my hot tub :) All of my other friends are 19 and going dt or have boyfriends and are spending the night's with them, so we'll make the most of it :)

    We were invited to two different NYE parties, but rather then choose, we are staying home with family. Plus, I'm quitting drinking for good this NYE and don't want to be around it at all for now. So staying home is best for me.
