Twinkies will soon be making a triumphant return to store shelves, according to Hostess' website. The company, which went bankrupt in 2012 and is under new management, is touting the return on July 15 as "the sweetest comeback in the history of ever."

Hostess is now owned by the private equity firms Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co. "America wanted Hostess back -- they wanted the original. Very soon consumers will once again be able to enjoy Twinkies, CupCakes and other great Hostess snack cakes. A comeback by any other name could never be as sweet," Daren Metropoulos, principal of Metropoulos & Co., said in a statement to ABC News.

It means lots Americans will have a job, that in itself is wonderful. The Hostess products are an American institution and even though I can't remember the last time I had a Twinkie or a Hostess Cupcake I'm glad they're going to be back.

Let's not manufacture junk food that is not good for human consumption.
If we are serious about disease control such as heart disease, diabetes, cancers, behavioral problems, attention deficit problems, etc, let's get serious about only manufacturing and buying "good for you" foods.

If I remember correctly it didn't work the first time either. It was just so popular because the judge allowed the defense.
