    I fear for the USA in 2013. The acrimony in DC between those that want individual freedom and those that want governmental power may be sufficiently onerous to prevent any solutions to the financial and social problems that face the country. I am concerned that my grandchildren will not have a free country to grow old in. That the USA’s best days are in the past and the country is in an irreversible downward slide. The takers now outnumber the givers, and those that can afford to leave for better pastures will!

    can't say I am excited or anxious, after this horrible 2012.....life after all is what you do/make of it.
    There are factors beyond your rich and those can unbalance or disrupt a very peaceful and tranquil life and we have to be prepared.

    Optimism is key in 2013!

    Some things are going to go downhill.... Fast... That is obvious.

    Having hope & staying positive as individuals will be important in adjusting to and overcoming upcoming difficulties whatever they may be. Keep your own boat floating at any cost, without many individual floating boats our nation will surely sink as whole.

    I chose anxious only so I could comment. I am neither anxious nor excited for the new year. The only thing I don't like about it is I'll be another year older.

    Thank you - we are working on the house now. The heating system was ruined by baywater so as soon as that is replaced along with some sheetrock we should be back in.

    Not at all optimistic. Economic future looks very bleak at this point. Can't say if America's decline is irreversible, but there are unfortunately many people who are blinded by the delusion that they are actually free, completely unaware that tyranny is slowly creeping into their lives. Can only hope that better times are somewhere off the foreseeable horizon.
