Ever notice that your significant other looks, well, a lot like you? It may not be a coincidence. Psychologist R. Chris Fraley of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign digitally morphed subjects' faces with strangers' faces; he found that morphed faces were more attractive to subjects when their own face was included, USA Today reports.

"When you have a face that looks more like you, you tend to trust it more and think it looks more cooperative," Tony Little, a research fellow in psychology at the University of Stirling in Scotland who is studying the role of the human face in mating choices, told the paper.

An upcoming dating website, Find Your FaceMate, even uses facial-recognition software to suggest romantic matches. Sounds kind of creepy to us, but we do see a lot of couples who kinda look alike. Is it just a coincidence? Or maybe we're all just in love with ourselves?

    But I have wondered, if you found a way to get into another dimension and found another you that was the opposite sex and had intercourse with him/her, would that count as sex or masturbation?

    We usually like what we're familiar with, best. Even the smallest trait noticed (maybe just subconsciously) on another can lend a little familiarity which lends a little appeal/acceptance...maybe not romantically but just a sense of distant comfort. Somthing a little too quirky and unfamiliar might attract but probably less often...I can see that.

    I've never found a woman who looks like me, so I can't really answer. Of course, I did like to watch Henry Fonda since he looked a lot like me when were were both young.

    I hate statistics. Who funds these?! As much as i know myself, I like the complete opposite of what I look like; for one thing, the opposite gender. I hate short hair and I get bored with brown eyes and light skin.

    "Attracted" means its mainly based on appearance, so no if there was someone who looked even similar to me I assure you I would not be attracted to him.. Actually I'm attracted to the total opposite.

    The only person I'm attracted to is my husband. We've been together since our teens and are now old enough to have % grandchildren and a beautiful great grandson who is 4.5 years old. :-)
