Ever notice that your significant other looks, well, a lot like you? It may not be a coincidence. Psychologist R. Chris Fraley of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign digitally morphed subjects' faces with strangers' faces; he found that morphed faces were more attractive to subjects when their own face was included, USA Today reports.

"When you have a face that looks more like you, you tend to trust it more and think it looks more cooperative," Tony Little, a research fellow in psychology at the University of Stirling in Scotland who is studying the role of the human face in mating choices, told the paper.

An upcoming dating website, Find Your FaceMate, even uses facial-recognition software to suggest romantic matches. Sounds kind of creepy to us, but we do see a lot of couples who kinda look alike. Is it just a coincidence? Or maybe we're all just in love with ourselves?

My significant other is Nepalese and I am Finnish, needless to say, we look nothing alike...So, no, I've never noticed that my significant other looks a lot like me. Maybe this is true in some cases, but definitely not in mine.

Scientifically speaking we all are. How often do we run into couples that look like each other. Good looking couples that look like a matched set. Not necessarily ethnically speaking either. I'm a lilly white ginger girl and my ex has some native american in him. Dark skin, black hair. But the shape of our eyes, noses, and jawlines are very similar. Our son looks like both of us in equal measure because of this. Look at your boyfriend/girlfriend again. Do you both have the same face shape? Nose Shape? Do you both have the same type of jawline? Is he/she the opposite sex version of you? Look again?

I am kind of specifically attracted to males of NE Asian Heritage. Being a different race than me, I think that I can safely assume I'm not into them because of our physical similarities.

My first boyfriend was shorter than I am, dark red hair and freckles.
My second was younger than I am, black hair and a Goth guy
Third was a bit over weight, smelled a tad bit and smoked too much
My current boyfriend look nothing like me.

Style and physical looks are two different things. I am brunette with brown eyes. I like medium blonde hair blue or green eyes. I like the cute nerdy look and the dark yet colorful scene look on guys. But that's my look too. Don't u see...same "difference"

and yes. See me and my bf are complete opossites, he's white, im black, im only 5'2, and hes 6'5, he has blonde hair mines is brown, and he has a very lean lil face while I have big checks and big eyes. But the yes is to friends me and all my friends are all skinny, are between 5' and 5'9 , we have similar face structures we even used to trick our lunch ladys and tell them we were all siblings.
