Ever notice that your significant other looks, well, a lot like you? It may not be a coincidence. Psychologist R. Chris Fraley of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign digitally morphed subjects' faces with strangers' faces; he found that morphed faces were more attractive to subjects when their own face was included, USA Today reports.

"When you have a face that looks more like you, you tend to trust it more and think it looks more cooperative," Tony Little, a research fellow in psychology at the University of Stirling in Scotland who is studying the role of the human face in mating choices, told the paper.

An upcoming dating website, Find Your FaceMate, even uses facial-recognition software to suggest romantic matches. Sounds kind of creepy to us, but we do see a lot of couples who kinda look alike. Is it just a coincidence? Or maybe we're all just in love with ourselves?

As for facial-recognition software, no thanks, my eyes and mind alone can determine a suitable partner for me who looks like me. Computer science doesn't need to weigh in with its two cents.

Right. When we get into baby-making mode, we want tall men to carry on those genetics! Sex with manlets is OK but most women do not want them fathering children. LOL

No now thats just weird, I mean looks wise I go for guys who are tan, blue eyes and blonde hair and are taller than me, which is opersite to me cause im short, pale with red hair (my eyes are blue though :/) But tbh itsnt having a similar personality what makes the right couple not looks? O.o

The only thing that would be alike about us is height, we are both short but my husband is 2 inches taller than me.

Everything else is different about us, i have a thin nose, he has a wide nose, he has small eyes, I have bigger eyes, I have a small mouth, he has a bigger mouth, i have a small jaw, he has a bigger jaw, etc.

I feel the same about men. Most of my family is Italian (I'm half) and unlike the Jersey Shore cast, I just couldn't do anything with an Italian because I would feel like I were having sex with a cousin or something.

Oh my God. Look at my picture. God loves me because, as nonpretty as I am, I've always been with beautiful women. I think we should date! Lol, just jokin....kinda. But I hear ya on ugly dogs and old poets. Especially old poets, or any poet or deep musician for that matter. I tend to always be attracted to the poets and musicians without Mercedes and homes though, damnit lol. Something so sexy about poetic men, no matter what age. Kudos to you!
