"Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll to to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money!" - George Carlin
"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Oh and by the way, atheism isn't a religion. Calling atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair color, or not collecting stamps a hobby. Atheism has no sacred texts, objects, places or times, no rituals or creation stories, no positive beliefs, central tenants, modes of worship or supernatural claims, no implicit or derived moral codes, philosophies or world views and no central organisation or church. It fulfills none of the criteria that define a religion. “To say that atheism requires faith is as dim-witted as saying that disbelief in pixies or leprechauns takes faith. Even if Einstein himself told me there was an elf on my shoulder, I would still ask for proof and I wouldn't be wrong to ask.” – Geoff Mather
I'm an agnostic atheist, meaning that I'm a person who holds the view that the existence of a deity cannot be proven nor disproven, but personally leans towards the idea of there not being one. There is no proof that god exists or doesn't exist.
What belief do you hold (as if we don't know ;)
and what evidence do you have to support your position?
I also believe that it is possible for god to be made up.
I believe that there could very well be millions of gods out there, but he fables recorded in the Bible are just that.
Explain that to me scientifically.
You suppose that God is the ultimate reality. That's a supposition that's not logical.
Your logical leaps aren't even sound at the most basic levels.
Obviously, you haven't thought this through, so I'll give you another chance. Try again.
