As a facility inspector years ago I had to inspect roof conditions and going up the ladders is no big deal, coming down always seems a bit awkward.

I am very much afraid of heights, to the point that I get light-headed and my heart racing if I see someone up high, even in a movie.

only if it's an "out in the open" height. I'm not afraid in airplanes or looking down from tall buildings. I get freaked climbing a tree or ladder though.

No, I'm worried about falling and dying when REALLY high up, who isn't But, I love things like planes or rock climbing. I'm always wary, but not really scared.

I can't even handle looking down a few feet. Some people bridges scare the hell out of me and I have to walk in the middle. Just to freaked out about it.

Of course, it's instinctive. To not have a natural fear of heights would be suicidal. But I enjoyed hang-gliding for a while.

As long as I'm somewhere safe it doesn't bother me. Now if I was standing on the outside window ledge of a skyscraper then hell yeah I would be afraid.
