I have fallen of my bed hundreds of times. It has 1.40 m height. So if I ever fall I'll close my eyes and pretend that aim sleeping.

That's a fun way as long as the box spring isn't broken. Trampolines are fun too. Thanks for commenting!

I have in the past. It is quite scary to fall more than 5 feet and when you land not having having a hard time breathing.

Yep! Since I have been clumsy, it's a fear when I do. A shattered knee in the 30s in nothing easy to get over... =(

No... Not only am I not afraid of falling - - I LOVE the excitement of risky behavior like repelling off the roof tops of sky scrapers (Which I will be doing off of Lumiere Place this October).

I am more afraid of not living life - - than of falling.

It's not the fall itself, BUT the impact when the fall is broken. It has nothing to do with living life, but really accidents that happen, and that can happen to anyone, any age, and often with serious consequences. Thanks.

I am still young and invincible! Wouldn't want to fall off a cliff or anything though.
  • L1 La 2012/07/11 12:12:50

No one's is invincible. I had a 19 y.o patient fall at home and rupture one of his carotoids internally after getting stoned.
    Just gotta watch out. Thanks.
  • La L1 2012/07/11 23:35:29

*shrug* I don't get stoned. I can't even remember the last time I fell down. I have good balance :)
  • L1 La 2012/07/12 06:26:39

Don't read into it like that; I didn't say you got stoned. The example I put was a real life one. I also knew a 24 y.o woman that fell stepping off a curb and broke her hip, and she was in perfect health before then. The point is that accidental falls can happen to anyone, and any age with serious consequences. That's the point.

I hear that! It's easy to get seriously hurt. I don't think about falling until after it happens, but I certainly don't take chances.
Falling down basement stairs is horible. I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone.
