No need to worry about death, far more important to live, laugh and love to the best of your ability everyday . I think death is just a natural extension of life. Extra time to rest!
Most of the time, I don't care. The only time I ever "panic" over death is when I force myself to think about what it feels like to have your body turn to ice and your mind turn cold. But if most of the near-death experiences that have been recorded include things like lights that radiate unconditional love, meeting family members that you haven't seen in year or even ever, places of extreme happiness, and other goodies, a few seconds the afterlife sounds like a fun place to be
In fact, living forever sounds like a boring idea. A lot of the things we do, we do because we won't be there one day. The dead don't vacation in Hawaii, they don't go jumping out of airplanes as a sport, and most (if not all) celebrities would freak out if they had to shake a dead man's hand. If humans could live forever, we wouldn't feel the need to do those things ASAP and we'd instead push them to the side and go on with our everyday lives. I don't know about you, but a life of pushing things to the side doesn't sound like a fun life to me.
Plus, if people in the past and the future lived with us in the present at the same time, political flame wars would be much bloodier and hotter. And it'd be a tight fit. And we wouldn't have ghost stories to enjoy over campfires and s'mores sandwiches.
I am a Christian so the term holds little fear. What I'd be interestd in is to make my death meaningful. In the Revolution which is to come I'd have no problem giving my life in the battle of Jesus return or something like tht, but of course that is FANTASY. God will fell the nations before ZHim
I'll be with God when I die. If I can't be here on earth, I can't be in a better place than to be in God's hands. Heaven is where I'm looking forward to being.
