    So far the world has only been run by people who WERE beaten as kids, and look how that turned out. Thousands of years of uninterrupted oppression, murder, rape, violence and abject misery.

    There are good kids who just didn't really either respond to spankings or responded better to other forms of discipline.
    Although, this whole, "everyone gets a trophy" philosophy is crap.
