I like having my cell phone with me, don't get me wrong. Long trips, the cell is a must-have.
But the only reason I'd lament accidentally leaving it at home is if I know a friend is going to try to get in touch with me that day. Considering I have few friends that bother contacting me via cell, though (most stick to email, it's easier to get a hold of me that way)?
Even my computer ... while I admit that I have a love-affair with it (the intellectual kind, not physical, you sickos), I've been without it for 2 weeks without going through withdrawl symptoms. It simply makes my life easier and more entertaining.
But I'm a book worm, I love going outdoors, and I have a life outside of my electronic world.
Would I miss my computer and cell phone if I was without it for longer periods of time? Yeah, probably. But I'd get on with my life. I have before, and I will again if it comes to that.

Imagine this: you're out and about having a wonderful afternoon when you suddenly realize something. You left your cell phone at home.
Did you just have a minor heart palpitation? So did we.
We don't really know when cell phones became so addicting but have come to accept the fact that by now, we're full-fledged fiends.
In fact, a recent study found that cell phone addiction is much like pathological gambling. Yikes -- we don't even gamble!
If you feel uncomfortable without a cell, you text message more than you see your friends or check your phone for missed calls on a minute-to-minute basis, chances are you're addicted too.
The upside? You're just a phone call away from getting help.

Other than that, I don't take it out of my pocket much.
Also, I dislike smart phones. I got a tough phone, simply for the fact that I can't destroy it. I don't want to be glued to an iphone all day.
Check it out... Cell phones are the new cigarettes.
