A very interesting and controversial topic...race and relationships

Its 2012 now and things are changing, races are mixing and mingling and we are getting more mixed race marriages, couples and children. so whats your opinion.

lets hear everyones opinions and keep an open mind

Don't quote me on this (or rather, look it up before you do), but I think I heard or read somewhere that interracial breeding leads to better genes - something about getting further away from your bloodline.

Yes, as my son is involved very nicely with a beautiful Puerto Rican girl. Plus his son is part Puerto Rican also. His daughter is part Black. He just happens to really like Puerto Rican and Black people. Not a problem for us :-)

Yes I am. Human is human irregardless of race and such. Now a days so many things are accepted that weren't years ago, and this is a good thing.

I am Indian, Portuguese, Jewish mix.My aunt is English and I had an inter-religious marriage (which didnot go well) but he has foreign descendants too but not sure from where so why not.

Why would I not be? A lot of people I am attracted to are of different races than me, and race is really nothing more than a superficial characteristic in the end. We're all human.

That is, not for myself.
One thing that I never understood is why different races, all of whom are great in their own ways, are not proud to have a mate of their race?
Each race is so unique from others and all have so much to add to life.
Just something I wondered.
I don't have anything against other couples who mix-that is entirely their own personal business. I have many acquaintances who are mixed and I don't treat them any differently than I do anyone else.

I understand what you are saying having been an immigrant myself many years ago born in Indonesia and I ended up coming to Australia from The Netherlands and even though these are both European cultures there are stark differences in the way they see things do things and eat things. However I see these differences as the very things that develop people and enrich their lives, taking the best from all sides and tempering the less desirable sides of their cultures. I married a New Zealander so My kids end up having Influences from all over the world and that makes them better developed people. Is that what you meant?

Your family sounds very well rounded in culture. Yes-each country's people have much in common and yet are somewhat different. There's good in every culture and race-just as there is bad in every culture and race.
It's interesting to meet new people.

I know my parents used to say they were not racist, but mention interracial relationships and they nearly blew a fuse. I am the opposite. If you love each other who am I to judge.
