when i was very young...it took me a while to build up the courage to tell someone, but i did. i told my parents and they didn't believe me...and that hurt...it really did...

I was very young, and attacked for 3 years. I survived it and, though it affected my life for awhile, when I opened up about it, I started to take control of it and learn from it. I had to learn that I was not at fault, that I did nothing wrong. I was far too young to have understood what was happening, but for years I thought that I should have known it was bad and told my mom. It took me 10 years to tell her and 10 years later to accept it. I am now watching my daughter like a hawk, because she is about the same age I was when it happened. I will not allow it to happen to her.

I haven't had the guts to tell my mom. She knows i"m not a virgin but she doesn't know how. How did you tell her? If you don't mind me asking!
And I'm sorry I wish you didn't have to but the good thing is you know the potential that any man can have to hurt your daughter and now your able to forewarn her so it won't happen.

Make sure she is in a good mood, because you want her clam before letting her know what happened. This is especially important if she knows who did it, as mine did. Just take it slow, deep breathing helps. And have lots of tissues handy, because you and she are going to need them. It gets better with time, if you allow yourself to move past the guilt and the anger of it all. I hope this works out. Let me know if you need anything else.

No, she doesn't know who it is, I'd like to keep it that way though. It would be too heartbreaking to me if she knew. Thank you so much for the advice.

I haven't seen or heard of him since my mom broke it off with her boyfriend when I was about nine. What I wouldn't give to see him today, maybe give him a little present...

I couldn't save myself then, but I sure as hell could now.

Oh I hope nothing happened. On old friend of mine went to a party and drank a lot. She didn't know until the next day when someone asked her how the sex was.
