Plenty of people support programs such as homeless shelters, sober homes, etc., BUT when it comes to having it in their neighborhood, it changes. Are you a NIMBY or not?

I'm not; we have a sober home for recovering drug addicts about 3 1/2 blocks where I live..... not in my backyard

A NIMBY means "not in my backyard", Sister. There are people who support social programs as long as it is not in their neighborhoods where they live. That's what a NIMBY is.
