The early bird catches the worm ... and he's chipper all day, too. Morning people are happier and more satisfied with life than night owls, a new study suggests, according to
LiveScience.

"We found that older adults reported greater positive emotion than younger adults, and older adults were more likely to be morning-type people than younger adults," study researcher Renee Biss, a graduate student at the University of Toronto, told LiveScience. "The 'morningness' was associated with greater happiness emotions in both age groups."
Only about 7 percent of young adults are morning types, but this tends to change as people age. Morning people also reported feeling healthier than night owls. So why are morning types so perky? Well, they might be more likely to get enough sleep, but they're also on track with the rest of the world. "Society's expectations are far more organized around a morning-type person's schedule," Biss told LiveScience. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I hate waking up, but after about 10 minutes I'm good.
I get moody and just want to go to bed by about 10:00pm unless I'm out somewhere.
Even in the summer I'm in bed by 11:00.
I worked Midnight to 7:30am for 17 years.. no problems... Switched to day shift 23 years ago and struggle every morning to get motivated. I rarely go to bed before 11pm.
