I can relate to her situation being myself a person from a muslim country that also happens to be in very good terms with the US. I cant say everyone was a "bad embassador", because thats not true however some kept on attacking for no apparent or rational reason, just because someone doesnt agree to the same things you do doesnt make them not worth your respect. But frankly I think Americans (generally speaking) are nice really, I'v been to LA and the people were really intrested and didnt harrass or insult me in anyway unlike England some guy kept on asking me if my dad did any money laundry, another women opened her money box once I spoke arabic to check if the money I gave her was fake, and no she did not do that to those that were behind me or infront of me, I stood and watched.
So basically, very few are rude. I simply think generalization is something that must be avoided.
Are you a good ambassador to your race, religion, country, or group to which you affiliate yourself with?

This questions stems from a recent comment I received from an intelligent and friendly young lady, who happens to be from a country other than the United States. She also comes from a muslim country which happens to be a good ally to the U.S. It really bothered me that she said I was the first American to be nice to her on this site. Does this upset you as well? And please keep moving if you cannot control yourself and be respectful.
This made me think of how we all represent ourselves, and do we do a good job of gaining the respect of people from different backgrounds than us? Just something to think about.

That said, I don't care where you're from; I won't discriminate against you because of what colour or nationality you are.

I suppose that's the group I run with... right?
Obviously, some groups are all wonderful... while other groups prove downright frightening and criminal...
It seems positive that you, Carl, seem to have the ability to "swim" in various currents of groups. Good cheer to ya...
