I'm not a germaphobe or the actual word mysophobia. But, I am conscientious with about it when I can be. Such as I always push an elevator button with my knuckle not the pad of my finger, or hitting the wall plates that open automatic doors with the back of my arm. These are places that are used frequently but often don't get wiped down. I do try to hand sanitizer after using stair railings. I'm a touch person, so I like to shake hands and hug, but I try hard not to spread germs from one person to another.
I have a huge germaphobia...and I hate it.I don't hate mud or something, it's people...no one can touch my food or anything. And I don't know if this is connected to germaphobia but I really really REALLY hate dirty nails, so much.
I'm not a total germaphobe but I do wash my hands after using the washroom, before I handle food or after I've handled money and if I've used or touched something that hundreds of other not-so-clean hands have touched like shopping carts, baskets, etc.
No but i have a mate, his wife is ill, he is ill, his son his ill, his daughter is ill.
Then i blew my top when he said is dogs were ill and that he was unable to come to work, he would love it to have the Ebola virus he would be proud of something like that.
Well, not to the full extent. I don't wear face masks or anything like that, but I try to wash/sanitize my hands frequently. Especially if I know someone who is sick has been touching the same things. I mostly become a germaphobe when people who sit close to me at work are sick. I end up going overboard with the sanitation. :P
There's nothing wrong with that. It's better to stay clean and be germ free then sick all the time and unable to go to work. I can't stand when people don't cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze into their hand and then don't bother to wash. Gross.
I was actually going to click no, but Sodahead decided that an accidental click should change my opinion. No, I'm not afraid of germs, despite what Sodahead thinks. :)
I'm a germ freak when it comes to food that comes from my kitchen, but other than that I''m pretty normal about germs. I don't use hand sanitizer unless my germiness can affect others, like in a hospital. I also don't like to share my food or drinks with random strangers. It's more of an STD-phobia, but some STD's are germs. (the clap is a bacterial STD)
That's a common misconception about STDs. STDs really spread through mucus not sex. Mucus can be exchanged by drinking from the same glass, sex, kissing, or a number of other ways. They call them STDs because they are commonly spread through sexual activities.
germaphobe? well...i believe in washing my hands regularly and putting down toilet paper on the public bathroom seats....(god bless the tree huggers! (i planted a bunch of oak trees in my life time!) i know a guy who washes his hands probably 20 times a day. Nice guy though. :) steve in fort worth texas. 2012.
I'm not spraying everything I come in contact with with Lysol but I am cautious about it. I always put a napkin or something over my cup. When I'm in a public bathroom I use a paper towel to open the door. Things like that
But when I look at bacteria through an electron microscope I can easily freak!! I can't tell if they are the 'host' and we are necessary to promote their health or if WE are the host and they are necessary for our health!!
Frankly, I've been exposed to more unsanitary conditions than I wager most people are and I rarely get sick compared to most other people I know. I think your immune system is like the rest of your body, the more it works out- the stronger it gets.
I subscribe to the theory that there are hundreds of types of cold germs and that once we get 'that' particular cold, we'll never get it again. I had lots of colds as a child and now......it's been 20-30 yrs. However, I DO get allergies.......................
If I'm in a public restroom, after I wash my hands, I either use a paper towel, my sleeve or I wait for someone to come in so I don't have to touch the door handle...If the door pushes out, I use my foot to open the door...
Then i blew my top when he said is dogs were ill and that he was unable to come to work, he would love it to have the Ebola virus he would be proud of something like that.
Are you aware that STD stand for sexual transmitted infection? No, you can not get an STD from a clap. STDs are something acquired through SEX.
This cute little guy is only a MITE!
