Are You A Fundamentalist?

I have no religion, and therefore cannot choose "yes."

No. I'm a religious person. But I don't take it to that extreme. Now tonight on our local news.......it said something about A Christian group having a WHITE ONLY Christian ceremony. One of their excuses for that was because Muslim and Jews have there's for just there respected religion. So they have the right to there's. Know that is extreme. Mathew 7:21 states that "not everyone saying to me 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom." That goes for anybody who are like fundamentalist

Tell that to some these candidates running for offices. Some of them take it to far. I thought George Bush Jr was crazy for saying that GOD told him to go into Iraq........crazy or fanatic. You tell me.

Not just no, but hell no. Fundamentalists make a mockery of their religion by ignoring the principles of their religion. For example most religions have some variation of the golden rule but fundamentalists reinterpret it to mean Do onto others with overwhelming force before they can do onto you.

Kind of hard to be one when you don't have a religion.

Although "fundamentalist" could refer to nearly any belief structure, religion or otherwise. Outside of religion, its normally called "hardliner" or "automaton" (we have many of those in the political world). Any of these colorful adjectives carries with it a negative connotation in my book. Closed minded people generally give me the creeps.

I'm an atheist, technically, since I don't believe in god(s). But I am also a student of Zen. I spend sole of my time meditating and trying to find enlightenment through experience of each moment as it truly is. But I wouldn't be a fundamentalist or anything... :p.

I don't believe in god but there is so much to live for. Just living itself is a highly unlikely chance and we must enjoy that.
