i was raised by a cat a white angora who was a part of my life for 18 years...as of right now i have 5 cats...all strays three were kittens that might not have made it through the winter

Dogs truly are man's best friend while cats seem almost indifferent for the most part. I actually broke up with a girlfriend because of her bad attitude concerning my dog.

I agree, dogs can smell a good person - my boxer did not care for my neighbor and would never go to him unless we were around - turns out he was a scoundrel

I don't blame you. Cats can sense a bad person too. My cats were not fond of one of my ex boyfriends. I should have paid attention. He later sexually assaulted me. He also expressed a dislike of cats. At this point (not that I would ever get involved with anyone again at this stage of life) my attitude would be "if you don't like my cats, GTFO."
If you love animals it's important to find a partner who does too.

cats rule. on the feline side of the animal kingdom, we have cats, lions, tigers, mountain lions, cheetahs, ocelots, cougars, and a lot more i can't even think of at the moment. on the canine side, we have dogs, wolves, and jackals, and i seriously doubt any of them could take a feline of similar size in a fight. plus, they're way cuter, and can take care of themselves better too.

I love both dogs and cats but, as is said:: " A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than yourself".(!)
So ,in a very close run contest, I will have to pick the dog as the winner!
I think this pic. pretty much sums up the difference between the canine and the feline natures!!!

I like animals better than people. Only people kill for power or enjoyment of killing. Animals kill to eat. People enjoy hurting other people and enjoy hurting animals. Talk about an evil species--people are the worst thing that has ever happened to this planet. People can be okay one on one but as a species we are horrible. Greedy, destructive, selfish creatures. No other being convinces me of the existence of evil more than the human race.
